Inner Circle Sharpens Leadership

By NU Athletic Communications

Inner Circle, an athletics department emerging leadership group facilitated by Husker Life Skills, is poised to further sharpen leadership skills while engaging with prominent letterwinner alumni, business leaders and community members.  No less than forty-two second through fifth year Huskers representing eighteen sports will attend eight meetings during the 2018-19 academic year.  Inner Circle members will learn of the importance of servant leadership, stewardship and communication.  Letterwinner alums will speak to the core values of Nebraska Athletics consisting of Integrity, Trust, Respect, Teamwork and Loyalty.  In December the membership will volunteer at City Impact, a non-profit created by Husker gymnast alum Brad Bryan, working in the Gifts of Love Christmas store.  Once again, Inner Circle will join forces with Student-Athlete Advisory Committee members to serve as facilitators for the spring Link-N-Leaders event helping nurture leadership qualities of area Lincoln Public Schools 5th graders.  Since the inception of Inner Circle in 2015, more than 200 Husker student-athletes have blossomed through Inner Circle.  For more information about Inner Circle and other components of Nebraska’s comprehensive and award winning Life Skills and Enrichment program, go to
