Huskers Fall to Buckeyes in Tight Match
Fairbanks, Alaska --- Despite scoring 21 points more than last week, the Nebraska rifle team fell to Ohio State on Saturday 4,656-4,658.
The Huskers trailed 2,301-2,306 after smallbore. The team was led by Emily Cheramie, who scored 581. Samantha Peterson added 580, while Kayla Gadeken posted 572. Elizabeth Lorentz added 568 and Nina Radulovic scored 565. While it didn’t count towards the team score, Rachel Yager posted a career-best 580.
Nebraska put up a fight in the second discipline, outscoring Ohio State 2,355-2,352. Peterson posted a match-best 590, while Gadeken earned 589 – the second-highest score of the day, only behind Peterson. Lorentz and Cheramie each had 588, while Bailey Powell scored 583.
