Huskers Open Warhawk Invitational

Milwaukee, Wis.- The Nebraska bowling team went 3-2 with a pinfall of 4,887 on Friday in the opening rounds of the Warhawk Invitational in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Huskers landed in eighth-place heading into Saturday’s traditional style matches.


The Huskers started the day with a victory over Valparaiso 1,000-884. NU also managed wins over Vanderbilt (1,071-999) and Elmhurst (935-792) before falling to Central Missouri by a score of 943-972.


The Huskers will continue play on Saturday at 9:25 a.m. (CT) with five traditional matches starting with a match against Maryville. The Huskers will then play LIU Brooklyn, Adelphi, Lewis and Farleigh Dickinson to finish the day. Friday and Saturday’s combined results will determine the seeding for Sunday’s bracket-play championship tournament, in which each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches, beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CT)
