Huskers Resume Season in Arkansas

Jonesboro, Ark.- The Nebraska women’s bowling team heads to Jonesboro, Ark., this Friday through Sunday to compete at the Mid-Winter Classic, hosted by No. 4 Arkansas State.
Twenty teams will be joining the Huskers in Jonesboro including the remainder of the top five teams in No.1 McKendree, No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Arkansas State and No. 5 Sam Houston State. Also joining the Huskers are No. 6 Tulane, No. 10 Stephen F. Austin, No. 14 Louisiana Tech, No. 15 Lincoln Memorial, No. 20 UAB, No. 22 Maryville, No. 24 Central Missouri, Valparaiso (RV), Texas Southern (RV), Jackson State (RV), Kentucky Wesleyan, Lincoln (MO), Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Drury
Nebraska junior Allison Morris heads to Arkansas after a first-place finish at the Warhawk Invitational on November 11th with her average of 238.8, the sixth highest single-tournament average in program history. Led by senior Meghan Straub, Raquel Orozco, Estefania Prieto, Cassidy Ray, Michelle Guarro and Gwen Maeha will also head to the Mid-Winter Classic.
Competition begins Friday morning at 11 a.m. with five sets of five-game Baker matches, followed by five traditional matches on Saturday morning, beginning at 9:25 a.m. Combined results from Friday and Saturday will determine the seeding for Sunday's bracket-play championship tournament, in which each team will play three rounds of best-of-seven Baker matches beginning at 8:30 a.m.
