Huskers Compete in Arkansas

Jonesboro, Ark.- The Nebraska women’s bowling team went 2-3 on Saturday at the Mid-Winter Classic in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The team finished the day with a total pinfall of 9,195 to end in tenth place.

The Huskers began the day with a loss against Stephen F. Austin (1,050-902.) The team fell again to UAB  by a score of 912-872 before bouncing back with a win against Alabama A&M (871-689). Kentucky Wesleyan took NU down by a score of 970-876 before finishing the day with a victory against Drury (954-902).

Sophomore Raquel Orozco led the Huskers in the individual standings, finishing in the fourteenth spot with her average of 198.2.

Nebraska will open the best-of-seven Baker format championship tournament at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on Sunday with a match against Maryville.
