Huskers Claim Two Event Titles

Columbus, Ohio - The Nebraska men’s gymnastics team claimed two event titles against the No. 6 Minnesota Gophers and No. 7 Ohio State Buckeyes. Anton Stephenson claimed the floor event title (14.60) and the vault title (15.10). Additionally, Evan Kriley and Charlie Giles posted career-high scores on pommel horse. Minnesota claimed first (406.300), Ohio State placed second (405.550) and Nebraska placed third (402.300)

Rotation 1 - Still Rings

  • Austin Lober led the way for the Huskers, posting a 13.90.
  • Josh Martin and Evan Hymanson followed closely behind, both posting a 13.35.
  • Joshua Everitt and Jordan King rounded out the final team score of 66.00, scoring 13.25 and 12.15 respectively.

Rotation 2 - Floor

  • Anton Stephenson led the way for NU, posting a 14.60.
  • Zach Peters and Jake Bonnay weren’t too far behind, scoring 14.35 and 14.10 respectively.
  • Griffin Kehler and Charlie Giles rounded out the final team score of 68.60, scoring 13.65 and 12.20 respectively.

Rotation 3 - Pommel Horse

  • Evan Kriley led the way for Nebraska, posting a career-high score of 13.95.
  • Charlie Giles wasn’t too far behind, posting a career-high score of 13.35.
  • Anton Stephenson followed with a score of 12.70.
  • Josh Martin and Khalil Jackson rounded out the team score of 63.70, scoring 12.05 and 11.65 respectively.

Rotation 4 - High Bar

  • Griffin Kehler paved the way for the Huskers, posting a 13.75.
  • Anton Stephenson and Evan Kriley followed closely, scoring 13.35 and 13.10 respectively.
  • Khalil Jackson and Jake Bonnay rounded out the team score of 66.00, scoring 12.95 and 12.85 respectively.

Rotation 5 - Vault

  • Anton Stephenson led the way for NU, posting a 15.10.
  • Charlie Giles and Josh Martin followed closely, posting 14.50 and 14.45 respectively.
  • Jake Bonnay wasn’t too far behind, posting a 14.35.
  • Zach Peters rounded out the team score of 72.05, scoring 13.65.

Rotation 6 - Parallel Bars

  • Evan Hymanson paved the way for the Huskers, posting a 13.65.
  • Anton Stephenson and Mitch Tyndall followed closely, scoring 13.35 and 13.05 respectively.
  • Griffin Kehler and Dillan King rounded out the team score of 65.15, scoring 12.60 and 12.50 respectively.
