Huskers Top Park, 5-0, in Final Home Match

The Nebraska beach volleyball team swept Park University (Mo.), 5-0, in its final home match this season at the Hawks Championship Center on Monday.

The Huskers improved to 10-1 on the season with their ninth straight victory. The last three wins have all been sweeps. NU's 10 wins are already four more than they had ever previously won in a beach season. 

Hayley Densberger and Anezka Szabo got the day started with a 21-6, 21-15 win, and Megan Miller and Callie Schwarzenbach followed with a 21-15, 21-9 victory. The Huskers' No. 1 pair of Nicklin Hames and Lauren Stivrins earned a 21-12, 21-16 win, before Madi Kubik and Mari Kurkova posted a dominating 21-2, 21-13 win. Kenzie Knuckles and Jazz Sweet made the team score 5-0 with a 21-11, 21-9 victory. To finish the day, Chen Abramovich and Capri Davis won an exhibition match, 21-14, 18-21, 15-9. 

Next up, the Huskers will head to Hawaii and California to play 14 matches in 10 days.
