Nine Huskers Named to Academic All-Big Ten

Lincoln, Neb. -- Nine gymnasts have earned Academic All-Big Ten honors announced by the conference on Wednesday.

The list features all four Husker seniors, all repeat honorees, this being Kelli Chung's third time earning these honors, as well as Sienna Crouse and Megan Schweihofer. This is Catelyn Orel's second time earning Academic All-Big Ten. 

Both juniors were named as well, this is Sierra Hassel's second Academic All-Big Ten honor, as well as Taylor Houchin's second time being named to the academic team. Along with that, three sophomores were named, Anika Dujakovich, Kynsee Roby and Rachel Thompson, all being named to the academic team for the first time in their careers. 

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of March 1 for winter sports, who have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
