Barge Named Track Athlete of the Week

The Nebraska track and field team received its second weekly award of the outdoor season from the Big Ten Conference on Wednesday, as Jasmine Barge was named the Big Ten Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Barge won three events at the Husker Spring Invitational last weekend. She won the 100-meter hurdles (13.23w), 400-meter dash (56.04) and was part of the winning 4x400-meter relay team (3:44.45). Her time in the 100 meters currently leads the Big Ten and her 400-meter time was a personal-best. The 4x400-meter relay team's time of 3:44.45 was a season-best.

Barge and the Huskers will visit Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the Crimson Tide Invitational on Thursday and Friday.
