Huskers Continue Pursuit of National Championship

The Nebraska women’s bowling team lost to Vanderbilt on Friday, 0-2, in the winner's bracket at the NCAA Championship at RollHouse Wickliffe in Wickliffe, Ohio.

Vanderbilt beat the Huskers 1,089-1,066 in the traditional match meeting. NU then to the Commodores, 1,068-1,036, in the baker style match.

Meghan Straub leads the Huskers individually with an average of 254.67. Junior Allison Morris follows with an average of 207.00. 

The Commodores came through the loser's bracket and it was the Huskers' first loss of the tournament so the two teams will meet again Saturday morning at 8 a.m. (CT). The winner of Saturday morning's meeting will face Stephen F. Austin in the national title match at 5:30 PM (CT) on ESPNU.
