Boyer Named to All-Big Ten Second Team
Lincoln -- Senior Toby Boyer was named to the All-Big Ten Conference Second Team as the league announced its postseason awards on Thursday, March 26. Including his fall records, Boyer finished the regular season with an 18-11 mark in singles and 13-18 in doubles.
Boyer's highest-ranked victory was against No. 47 Josip Krstanovic of Minnesota, in a 7-6, 6-4 upset that led NU to a 4-3 win over the No. 18 Gophers. The Huskers' win over Minnesota was the school's first win over a ranked opponent since April 17, 2016 -- when it beat No. 59 Purdue -- and first victory over a top-25 opponent since March 13, 2010, when it knocked off No. 23 BYU.
Boyer reached 76 career singles wins last weekend with an upset over No. 105 Jack Winkler of Michigan State in straight sets. Boyer's 76 wins put him tied for sixth on Nebraska all-time singles victories list. Former four-year
