Beau Lawler joined the Huskers as video coordinator and assistant director of operations in 2019. He handles all aspects of coordinating game film and Data Volley input, as well as assisting director of operations Lindsay Peterson with day-to-day operations of the volleyball program.

Lawler came to the Huskers after serving as an assistant coach at Idaho State in 2018. He was in charge of scouting and assisted in recruiting and administrative duties. In his lone season with the Bengals, Idaho State had an eight-win improvement from the previous season and went 13-7 in the Big Sky, their best conference finish since 2015.

A native of Agoura Hills, Calif., Lawler spent the 2015-17 seasons on the staff at Utah. He began his stint there as the video and statistics coordinator and took over as technical director and director of operations in his second season with the Utes. While managing the day-to-day operations of the volleyball program, he took the lead on social media and digital content for the team and directed summer camps. In 2017, the Utes had their most successful season in program history with a fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 and their first-ever NCAA Regional appearance.

While in Utah, Lawler also coached club volleyball with Club V. He served as head and assistant coach for many of the club teams which collectively sent 14 players to college programs and had seven teams qualify for the USAV Girls Junior National Championships in 2018. Lawler also worked with the USA Volleyball Women's National Team, providing statistical analysis at the team's open tryouts from 2016-18.

Before entering the coaching ranks, Lawler worked as an operations manager for Apple (2014-15) and Nike (2011-14). He accumulated a wealth of experience with content creation and efficiency analysis before taking his talents to the courts.

Lawler completed his general studies at Palomar College in San Marcos, Calif., while playing soccer for two years.
