Knapton Splashes In Italy

Napoli, Italy- Senior diver Abigail Knapton represented the US at the 2019 World University Games in Napoli, Italy.

Knapton secured a spot in the semifinal platform event after claiming 18th place with 190.25 points during preliminaries. The Omaha native diver notched up eight places during semifinals to finish in 10th place (240.55) to earn a spot in the finals. Knapton continued to progress throughout the competition as she represented the United States in the top eight as she grabbed seventh place (253.70).

Knapton joined Jacob Cornish, The University Texas- Austin, as they competed in the mixed-platform synchronized event. The pair produced a fourth-place finish with 283.68 points.
