Career Notes
2004-Berger did not appear in a match for the Huskers during the 2003-04 season.

2003-Berger went 14-8 overall while wrestling as a reserve behind Joey Malia at 133 pounds. Berger went 1-2 in his three dual appearances, while earning two pins, one technical fall and two major decisions.

2002-Berger went 18-4 as a redshirt wrestling in open tournaments. Berger finished first at the UNO Kaufman/Glen Brand Open, second at the Brand Open and third at the UNK/Valentino's Open. He recorded six pins and three major decisions.

Before Nebraska-Berger won two Nebraska Class B state titles while attending Gering High School. A four-time place-winner at state, Berger compiled a 138-7 career record in high school. He was an All-American at High School Nationals in 2001, finishing eighth. Berger was a four-time letterwinner in both cross country and track and field.

Personal-The son of James and Demaris Berger, Jarred has two brothers, Josh, and Jordan. Jarred was born on Nov. 23, 1982. He has not declared a major.
