2005-Manstedt finished his season with a 15-9 record, including 6-5 in duals, as a solid second option to Jon May at 285 pounds. Manstedt earned the Huskers 27 duals points by racking up five pins. His quickest pin was in just 53 seconds.

2003-Manstedt compiled a 22-11 overall record and a 13-6 dual mark. He recorded a team-high winning streak of 10 matches from Dec. 13 through Jan. 10. At the 2002 Virginia Duals, Manstedt recorded two wins that led NU to victories. He recorded a 5-4 decision over Dan Garay of Hofstra to advance NU into the semifinals, and Manstedt defeated Chris Little of Illinois, 1-1, in a tiebreaker to move NU on to the championship match. Manstedt’s eight falls were good for third on the team behind two-time All-American Jason Powell and NCAA qualifier Travis Shufelt who each had nine. Manstedt, along with Joey Malia, earned the team award for the most improved wrestler during the course of the season.
2002-Manstedt compiled an 18-8 overall record in his first full season of wrestling. He took over for Pat Miron as a starter after Miron suffered a torn right anterior cruciate ligament in February. Manstedt took first place at the Dana College Open. He went 0-2 against ranked opponents, but finished the season winning 11 of his last 15 matches.
2001-Once his duties were up as a redshirt defensive tackle on the Nebraska football team, Manstedt joined the wrestling squad in January in time to compete in one open tournament, posting a 3-1 record at the Northwestern College Open. Manstedt finished second, but all three of his wins en route to the title match were by fall.
