Rachelle Tacha led the Huskers to their third consecutive NCAA Regional appearance in 1997 while earning All-Big Eight honors for the second consecutive season in 1997. Tacha, a native of Manhattan, Kan., captured the final Big Eight Conference title in history by winning the 1996 league crown, before joining teammate Heidi Wall (Stark) in competing at the 1996 NCAA Championships. Tacha capped her career in 1998 as a three-time NGCA Scholastic All-American.
