Individual results are not available for 1975-76, which was Nebraska's first season with a varsity women's golf team. The Huskers were one of 36 teams to qualify for the 1976 AIAW National Championships held on the Forest Akers West Course in East Lansing, Mich., June 16-19. 

As a team, Nebraska managed a 683 through two rounds, finishing 22nd in the field, which narrowed to 16 teams for the final round of the tournament.

Before heading to nationals, the Cornhuskers captured the first-ever Big Eight Conference title with a two-round total of 684 at Columbia, Mo.

Deb Benish (Reed) was one of Nebraska's first letterwinners, helping the Huskers to the AIAW National Championships in their first season of varsity competition in 1975-76. Nebraska also claimed the first-ever Big Eight Conference title in 1976.
