Fan Reminders for Nebraska vs. Kansas State Game (Nov. 21)

  • Here are a few reminders for fans attending Nebraska's game against Kansas State on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:45 p.m. and gates to the Husker Nation Pavilion open at 3:45 p.m. (three hours before kickoff).
  • Parking lots around Memorial Stadium will open six hours before kickoff throughout the season, meaning lots will open on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 12:45 p.m.
  • Gates to Memorial Stadium will open 90 minutes before kickoff, which means gates will open for the Kansas State game at 5:15 p.m. 
  • New in 2009, fans at Memorial Stadium will be able to utilize a text-messaging reporting system to quickly summon the UNL Police. In case of emergency or to report a disturbance in your area, send a SMS text message to 41513, keyword UNLPD. Then type your report and location. Standard SMS text message rates apply. It is a two-way texting system that will allow the UNL Police to respond back as needed.
  • Fans are encouraged to arrive early for Nebraska's Big 12 North Division showdown with Kansas State at Memorial Stadium. Fans can listen to the Husker Sports Network Pregame Show for periodic traffic updates. The Husker Sports Network broadcast day begins five hours before kickoff, which means the radio broadcast day will begin at 1:45 p.m. for the Kansas State game. The game will also be televised live nationally by ESPN.
  • The Husker Nation Pavilion will be open to provide family fun for all Husker fans with the gates at the Nebraska Soccer Field/Ed Weir Track opening three hours before kickoff to give fans a chance to soak up all of the atmosphere at Memorial Stadium. The Pavilion provides food, fun and games for the kids, along with the Husker Sports Network Pregame Show, a live band and video big screen featuring games from around the nation.
  • Nebraska's Unity Walk will begin at approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes before kickoff on the East side of Memorial Stadium, as the team arrives by bus and walks to the locker room to prepare for the game. Players and coaches will walk down the corridor between the Husker Nation Pavilion and Memorial Stadium at approximately 4 p.m.
  • Fans with tickets in the East, West and North Stadiums are welcome to enter any gate between 4 and 23 (except gates 11 and 15 which are reserved for persons with disabilities). If fans see a long line at a particular gate, they are encouraged to move to the next gate. Once inside the stadium, fans can access their section on the second-level concourse which links the West, North and East stadium.
  • Fans seated in the North Stadium are welcome to access their seats by utilizing any one of five entrances off the second level concourse (spills out to row 20), or they may access higher seats via the third level concourse on the North end.
  • Backpacks and umbrellas are not allowed in Memorial Stadium. 
  • Fans are encouraged to park in downtown garages or use the StarTran shuttle service. StarTran will provide Big Red Express Shuttle Service. Click on the link for complete details.
  • Stadium Drive on the West side of Memorial Stadium will be closed to vehicle traffic on game day.
