Nebraska softball is in a truly elite class when it comes to postseason play. The Huskers have advanced to 21 NCAA Tournaments in school history, a total that ranks 10th in NCAA history. NU has also been successful within the NCAA Tournament itself, advancing to the Women's College World Series seven times, a total that ranks eighth in NCAA history.

Nebraska advanced to 13 consecutive NCAA Tournaments from 1995 to 2007, one of only nine teams in the nation that could claim that accomplishment. The Huskers have also earned the right to host a total of 10 NCAA Regionals in Lincoln due to an outstanding record and outstanding facilities. Nebraska has hosted a regional at Bowlin Stadium in four of the last seven years.
