Practice Regulations Nebraska men's basketball practices during the regular season have typically been open to the public since coach Doc Sadler arrived in Lincoln in 2006. Please note that during the offseason, it is not permissible per NCAA rules to publicize dates and times of individual/team workouts prior to the first official day of practice.
Times for Nebraska's regular-season practices at the DevaneyCenter will be posted here as they become available each month. The Huskers may use all or only a portion of the period on a given day, while staying within the 20 hours of practice allowed per week by the NCAA during the season.
Practice times during the regular season are subject to change and practices may be closed at any point before or during a scheduled session. For the most up-to-date practice times, check back frequently at Huskers.com.
For regular-season practices, fans can enter the building from the lower level on the south side off of Court Street and use the stairways or elevators to head upstairs. Fans are asked to sit upstairs in the arena, but please show respect for the players and coaches by keeping the noise level down. No photography of any kind, including video cameras and cell phones, is allowed inside the arena during practice. Cell phones should be put on vibrate and please use common courtesy of going out to the concourse to talk on the phone.
The purpose of open practices is to allow fans to gain a better understanding of the program. Information gained by attending a practice session is for personal use only and should not be posted to the Internet. Abuse of the privilege may result in re-evaluation of the open-door policy. Information regarding injuries or personnel matters will be released to the media at the appropriate time.
On days the Huskers practice at Mabel Lee Hall, the practices will be closed to the public because of space issues and safety concerns for players and fans.
