Margie Ruetz saw her only court time at Nebraska as a sophomore in 1981-82, when she averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds per game while appearing in 18 contests to earn her only basketball letter.
The 5-11 forward from Racine, Wis., was a strong athlete that was voted Nebraska's pre-season weight training award winner.
At St. Catherine's High School in Racine, Wis., Ruetz led the basketball and volleyball teams to state championships as a junior. She was a three-time all-conference selection in both basketball and volleyball, and was named the all-county MVP as a senior basketball player. She was also an all-conference pick in softball and track and field.
Ruetz majored in nutrition at Nebraska.
