Bio

Ronda Pieper earned a basketball letter at Nebraska as a freshman in 1982-83, and spent two seasons as a contributor on the Husker squad. She appeared in 22 games and averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. She shot 36.7 percent from the field and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line as a freshman.

As a sophomore, Pieper played in 13 games, averaging 0.8 points and 1.2 boards per contest. She finished her brief NU career with 40 points, 33 rebounds and 10 assists.

An outstanding all-around athlete at Lincoln Northeast High School, Pieper led the Rockets to the state championship game in 1981 and averaged 15 points and six rebounds per game as a senior in 1981-82. A Converse High School All-American, Pieper played for the North team that won the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star Game following her senior season. She was also a member of the Rockets' state title-winning volleyball team. Pieper also played shortstop and pitched on the Nebraska Class B summer fastpitch team that earned a runner-up state finish.

The daughter of Roger and Elaine Pieper, Ronda was born Nov. 25, 1963. She was a physical education major at Nebraska.
