Bio

Phazaria Wilson earned a varsity letter in her only season at Nebraska by playing in 16 games and helping the Huskers capture their first Big Eight Conference title. On the season, the Omaha native averaged 1.2 points and 0.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from the free throw line.

The 5-11 forward out of Omaha Central High School earned playing time in eight Big Eight contests to help the Huskers to an 11-3 league mark and a 22-7 overall record. She did not attempt a field goal in league play, but she did connect on 4-of-7 free throws.

A high school teammate of Nebraska's 1988 Big Eight Player of the Year Maurtice Ivy, Wilson was a Super-State, All-State, All-Metro and honorable-mention All-America selection as a high school senior in 1986-87 at Omaha Central. She averaged 15.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game while leading the Eagles to the Class A state semifinals.

The daughter of Sally Wilson, Phazaria was born March 2, 1969, in Omaha. Wilson chose Nebraska over Kansas, San Diego State, Creighton and Wichita State.
