Linda Janssen appeared in 61 games with 21 starts during her two-year career at Nebraska. The 5-8 guard from Syracuse, Neb., earned letters following her freshman and sophomore seasons. Janssen finished her career at Nebraska with 425 points, 139 rebounds and 32 assists as a swing player for the Huskers.
As a freshman in 1976-77, Janssen averaged 5.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, while appearing in all 37 contests to help the Huskers to a 21-16 overall record. She hit 93-of-283 shots (32.8 percent) from the field, while connecting on 24-of-45 (53.3 percent) of her free throws.
As a sophomore, Janssen provided even greater contributions by averaging 9.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per game game while appearing in 24 contests. She helped the Huskers finish with a 12-14 record.
The daughter of Dale and Leola Janssen, Linda was born Feb. 21, 1958 in Lincoln, Neb. She was a physical education major at Nebraska.
