Sue Kobza appeared in 28 games with three starts during her only season at Nebraska in 1977-78. The 6-1 center from Schuyler, Neb., earned a letter after averaging 2.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game as a freshman. She finished her NU career with 63 points, 102 rebounds and eight assists.
A talented all-around athlete in high school, Kobza earned all-state honors in basketball and track and also played volleyball at Schuyler High School. She was a three-time Class B state discus champion and the national Junior Olympic gold medalist in 1977.
The daughter of Joseph and Rita Kobza, Sue was born March 15, 1959 in David City, Neb.
