Mathaline Otis was a regular starter and earned a letter in her only season with the Nebraska women's basketball team in 1978-79.
A 5-10 forward from Richmond, Calif., Otis played in 36 games with 28 starts and ranked third on the team in scoring with 8.1 points per game, while ranking second on the squad with 7.7 rebounds per contest.
Otis connected on 48.3 percent (129-267) of her shots from the field and 50 percent (33-66) of her free throw attempts. She also dished out 119 total assists to rank third on the team in that category, while also ranking third on the squad with 50 total steals. She tied for second on the squad with 21 blocked shots on the season.
Otis helped the Huskers to a 23-13 overall record under Coach Lorrie Gallagher, which tied the school record for most wins in a single season.
