The Nebraska football team continued its preparations for Troy State with a two-hour practice at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday.

Lincoln - The Nebraska football team went through a two-hour workout on the Memorial Stadium FieldTurf on Wednesday afternoon, as the Huskers continued their preparations for Saturday's 12:30 p.m. kickoff with Troy State.

Nebraska Head Coach Frank Solich said he was pleased with his team's practice on Wednesday, as the Huskers continued to focus on finishing off drives that reach deep into opposing territory.

"It was a good practice. I think offensively we ran the ball out a little bit better," Solich said. "We put the ball about the 30-yard line and we worked on putting the ball in the end zone, making big plays, and making long runs with the linemen working hard down field. I thought we worked very hard today, and I thought the practice went fairly well. We've still got tomorrow to get prepared. The attitude has been great, so I think we're on track to play very well."

Solich said the Huskers would need to remain focused on their preparation for the Trojans, who come to Lincoln with a 3-2 overall record after knocking off Marshall on Saturday. Solich also said he expected Troy State to play a physical style of football on both offense and defense.

"They are very much a running football team. They will try to power you and come off the power game with options. I expect they will run eight to 12 options in the game with a lot of power offense," Solich said. "Then they do a very good job of having an array of special plays that can get you. They got Marshall on a couple of special plays, so I think they take a very good approach to offensive football. It is a very tough-nosed approach."

The Huskers will continue their preparations for Troy State with Thursday's scheduled practice at 3:30 p.m. Nebraska is scheduled to conduct its walk-through on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
