Practice Report - Nov. 3, 2003

Lincoln -- With cool temperatures and a steady rainfall, Coach Frank Solich brought the Huskers in for Monday’s workout in sweat clothes.  The team worked out for a good two hours inside the Cook Pavilion.

Coach Solich said the team practiced well and were "very focused" on the job ahead of them.  "Everyone feels badly about our performance in the last game," Solich said, "and the only way to correct that is to get started on the next game."

"I can’t point a finger at any one particular area," Solich said of the Texas loss, "We just didn’t get it done."

When asked about the offensive line, Solich said, "We are hopeful to have a couple of the linemen get back to 100 percent healthwise.  They are coming, but it has been a slow process."

Solich said the injury situation is not as bad as he first thought.  "We held out a couple of guys from today’s practice.  But the good news is that Trevor Johnson’s injury does not appear to be as extensive as we first thought."

Solich will hold his weekly press conference on Tuesday at Noon in Level 6 of the Memorial Stadium Skyboxes.
