Huskers Continue Preparations for Colorado

Lincoln -- The Huskers were outside for the first time this week and practiced in Memorial Stadium on Tuesday in sweat clothes. The practice was shorter and complete with crowd noise as Nebraska put the finishing touches on the Colorado game plan.

"We’re basically going to have two typical-Thursday practices in a row," Head Coach Frank Solich said. "We should be in very good physical shape for this game, in terms of conditioning. We should have our legs back under us and should be ready to go."

Solich noted that the last two practices have been "very spirited." "We were in full pads on Sunday, then half pads yesterday, and they were looking for contact," Solich said. "I think they feel very good about what they have accomplished this week."

The Huskers will have a shortened practice in sweats again on Wednesday. As there is no school, the practice will begin at 1 p.m. and will conclude at approximately 2:30 p.m.
