Nebraska Coach Bo Pelini expressed confidence in quarterback Zac Lee during the Huskers' first regular-season press conference at Memorial Stadium on Tuesday. Pelini, who enters his second season as the Cornhuskers' head coach, said he had "a tremendous amount of confidence" in Lee, even though Lee enters his first season as NU's starter.

Pelini said he's realistic enough to know that Lee is not going to play perfect football, and he pointed out that his quarterback is "just one piece of the puzzle."

Nebraska and Florida Atlantic kick off the 2009 season on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m., with live pay-per-view coverage from FSN.

Nebraska's media luncheon takes place each Tuesday of game week and features Coach Pelini and several select Husker players. Complete transcripts of Coach Pelini's session with the media will be available throughout the season on Huskers.com, and past weeks can be accessed through the "Game Notes" section on the Football home page.
