Lincoln- The Nebraska football team practiced for just less than two hours Thursday inside the Hawks Championship Center and on the Ed and Joyanne Gass Practice Fields as the Huskers finish up preparations for the Washington Huskies in Seattle. After practice, Head Coach Bo Pelini addressed the media.
"I thought it was a good practice," Pelini said. "We got a lot done today, the tempo was good. I thought the attention was good. I thought it was a good practice, good Thursday practice. There are still some corrections to be made, but that is what tomorrow is for. We're going to finish our preparation and get ready to go out there and play our best football."
The Huskers will maintain their normal Friday routine, conducting a walk-through in Lincoln before leaving for Seattle late Friday morning.
Pelini commented on Washington Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and the respect he has for the Huskies' second-year coach.
"It's obvious, you watch his football team and their well coached," Pelini said. "They play hard and it's obvious he has that team headed in the right direction. I think everybody would agree, who is associated with Washington football, that it was a good hire."
Pelini also announced that redshirt freshman Jesse Coffey will be sidelined with a foot injury for six to eight months.
The Huskers depart for Seattle late Friday morning and will take on the Huskies at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in a regionally-televised game on ABC.
