Huskers in the NFL - Week 8

In Week 8 of the NFL season, several former Nebraska football players played major roles for their teams.

New England Patriot Alfonzo Dennard continued his success against the St. Louis Rams by recording five total tackles, one pass breakup, and one interception. Dennard has had back-to-back games with an interception. Mike McNeil caught two passes for 12 yards for St. Louis in the Patriots' 45-7 victory.

Prince Amukamara of the New York Giants has helped his team to a 6-2 record this season and first place in the NFC East Division. On Sunday he recorded five total tackles in a 29-24 win against the Dallas Cowboys.

Kicker Alex Henrey of the Philadelphia Eagles was perfect on the day going 1-for-1 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra point attempts. Eagles lost to the Atlanta Falcons 30-17.

Detroit Lions' center Dominic Raiola helped protect Matthew Stafford who threw for 350 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. In the same game, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh recorded a pair of tackles for loss for Detriot.
