Andrew Green
Senior, Defensive Back
On the talent of Nebraska's defense
“I feel like we are really talented, probably the most talented we have been in a couple of years from the D-line, to the linebackers, to the secondary because we have linebackers that can run sideline to sideline and also D-linemen, too. If we are on the same page, we can be a pretty good defense.”

On what will surprise people the most about the defense
“I guess just how athletic we are, I think that is going to be a big surprise.”

On his position
“I am going to be playing safety and cornerback, and I guess I am just going to see what the coaches’ perspective is during camp.”

On his comfort level at safety
“Right now I feel pretty comfortable, but I mean I still have a lot to learn because it is kind of like new in a way, but I get the novice part of it now.”

On the secondary's experience, and whether the defensive backs need to lead the defense
“Yeah I feel like as a whole squad just to set the standards at practice and how we practice is how we play, so I think that is going to be a big part of how this defense comes along.”

On if the defense has a sour taste from how the season ended last year
“Yeah, it left a sour taste in our mouth, but at the same time you have to move on. You can’t really keep your mindset in the past. If you do, you are not going to move on as a team, so we just learn from it and move on.”
