Robby Painter provided depth on the Nebraska offensive line throughout his Husker career, while also seeing action on special teams. The 6-5, 300-pound Painter showed the versatility ot play nearly any spot on the offensive line.
Painter earned his degree in mechanical engineering in December. He was an Academic All-Big Ten selection as a senior.
Painter provided depth on the offensive line at guard, and also saw action on the Huskers' PAT and field goal unit.
Painter was a reserve on the line, but did not play in a game.
Painter added depth at tackle, but did not see game action.

Painter redshirted his first season at Nebraska and worked on the scout team.
Before Nebraska (Grandview HS)
Painter played at Grandview High School, one of the top 5A prep programs in Colorado, and helped the school reach the semifinals of the state playoffs in both 2010 and 2011. As a senior, Painter was a team captain and his play helped Grandview to an 11-2 record with an offense that averaged nearly 200 rushing yards per game. Painter also made 12 tackles and had a sack on defense.
In 2010, Painter helped Grandview to a 9-5 record and a trip to the state semifinals. Painter was originally committed to Eastern Washington, and also had offers from UNLV, Northern Colorado and Colorado School of Mines.
The son of John and Jan Painter, Robby was born on Oct. 8, 1993. He was a mechanical engineering major and was an Academic All-Big Ten choice as a senior. He was named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll five times. He has volunteered his time with Husker Heroes, Uplifting Athletes and team hospital visits.
