2004 (Senior)
Dan Burrow earned his first letter for the Huskers in 2005 after completing a career in which he appeared in seven games as a reserve free safety and on special teams.

The Ames, Iowa, native was accomplished in the classroom, being named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll nine times and receiving his first academic All-Big 12 honor as a senior in 2005. He graduated in May of 2005 with a degree in business administration.

Career
Burrow played against Southern Miss and Texas A&M as a reserve free safety in 2003, but did not record a tackle. He played in three games in 2002, and made an unassisted tackle against the Jayhawks. Burrow played against Rice and Iowa State in 2001, recording a pair of tackles in the 48-3 win over the Owls. A walk-on, Burrow redshirted his first season at Nebraska.

Burrow starred for his father at Ames High, playing free safety and quarterback. He helped Ames to the state semifinals in 1999, accounting for 16 touchdowns (8 rush, 8 pass), while making 100 tackles and 12 interceptions on defense. Burrow was a second-team all-state pick at free safety, was a two-time first-team all-conference pick and a four-time academic all-conference selection. He lettered twice in track and three times in basketball, where he earned all-conference honors as a point guard.

Personal
The son of Carol Crawford and Jimmy Burrow, Dan was born on Sept. 9, 1981, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Burrow earned his bachelor's degree as a business administration major in May of 2005. A first-team academic All-Big 12 selection as a senior in 2005, Burrow was a nine-time Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection.
