Nebraska Heads to ITA Central Region Invite

The Nebraska women's tennis team heads to Norman, Okla. to participate in the USTA/ITA Central Region Invite hosted by the University of Oklahoma from Thursday, Oct. 17 through Monday, Oct. 21 at the Headington Family Tennis Center. All of the Huskers players will gear up to play this weekend as they continue their fall season on the road. 

The qualifying singles start on Thursday and finish on Friday morning. There are eight open spots for a qualifying player to make the main draw. The main draw of the singles and doubles start Friday and finish Monday. The winner of both singles and doubles will get an automatic bid to the National Indoor Collegiate Tournament from Nov. 7-10.
The Central Region Invite hosts all the teams from the ITA Central Region including, but not limited to, Oklahoma, Missouri, Oklahoma State, South Dakota, Wichita State, Tulsa and a lot more. The qualifying draw will be released Wednesday.  The main draw will be done after the qualifying round on Thursday.  
 The draws are available on the host University of Oklahoma's athletics website. Results from this weekend's matches will be posted here on at the conclusion of play every day. Go Big Red!
