Utah State Coach Mick Dennehy
On the Game
It's a real pleasure to have the opportunity to play here. They have the best fans in America. It's been a joy and hopefully we can do it again down the road. I think our kids played hard. I think the disappointment I saw in their eyes after the game was an indicator that, if we continue to play hard, and we eliminate a couple of things that have a tendency to hurt us, we have a chance to be a pretty good football team. I think they played their guts out. My compliments to the University of Nebraska, they're an outstanding team and program, and we wish them the best of luck the remainder of their schedule.

On Nebraska's adjustments after the first quarter
I think the most obvious adjustment they made was not an x-and-o decision, but a personnel decision. #7 (Demorrio Williams), we don't have an athlete like him. He's a difference maker, and those two turnovers he caused were a major, major difference in this game. He's a tremendous athlete and football player. He's a lot of fun to watch. I think our guys bowed their necks, and they didn't make it easy. We felt like 15-7 at half is a situation that, if we had come out and done the same things (as the first half) and adjusted a little bit and made things a little more difficult on him (Williams), we still had a chance to win the game. We gave them a couple of short field opportunities in the third quarter that were very, very difficult to recover from.

On Utah State's defense
I thought our defense did a heck of a job of keeping them out of the end zone in the second half. They had a lot of opportunities to score touchdowns and we held them to field goals. I'm extremely excited about that now.

On USU quarterback Travis Cox in the first quarter
I think the gameplan was really good. We tried to account for their speed with a lot of misdirection and screens. I thought when we came out of the locker room, we accomplished what we needed to accomplish by keeping them off balance. Easy throws, things that have a tendency to allow you to get a little bit of momentum and get on a roll, and I think that's exactly what happened.

Tight End/Fullback Chris Cooley
On Today's Gameplan
"Through the first half Travis was taking a lot of hits from NU linebacker Demorrio Williams. On the second half, we switched our game plan and I pretty much man-blocked him the rest of the way.

On the First Half Touchdown
"During the week watching game film, NU ran a coverage that we felt we could capitalize on. On that particular play, I just ran a down the field and Travis threw a good ball."

Wide Receiver Kenny Coleman
On Demorrio Williams
"Williams, he's tough, good player that forced us to change our game plan today. He was the difference maker. We felt we could move the ball today but Williams was all over us after the second series of the game. Nebraska blitzed him more after the first series."

Defensive Tackle Michael Gates
On playing Nebraska
"It's a dream come true, when you are growing up you either want to play for Nebraska or play against them."

On facing Richie Incognito
"He a good physical player. He just keeps coming after you for the entire play. He has toned it down from last year but he is definitely a physical player."

Quarterback Travis Cox
On the first half
"The first quarter was awesome, we felt that we had a good game plan and could come in here an really move the ball. We played really well together at the start but weren't able to finish out."
