Career

Gregg List finished his collegiate career with 22 tackles (17 solo) in 32 appearances. He recorded two tackles for five yards lost. He also blocked a kick, had two pass breakups and one interception. List graduated from Nebraska as a member of its 1995 and 1997 national championship teams.

1999 (Senior)

List served as a backup rover behind returning starter Mike Brown. He saw action in all 12 games, recording six tackles (five solo), a tackle for a four yard loss and a blocked kick. In the 2000 Fiesta Bowl against Tennessee, List had one solo tackle.

1998 (Junior)

List saw action in three games as a reserve rover, bud did not have any tackles.

1997 (Sophomore)

List played in seven games and made two tackles. He served as the No. 3 rover behind Brown and Brandon Quindt. List saw action in the 1998 FedEx Orange Bowl against Tennessee, but did not record any tackles.

1996 (Freshman)

A redshirt freshman, List was a steady contributor in his first year. He played in 10 games as a backup rover and as a member of the kickoff team. List totaled 14 tackles (11 solo). He also had two tackles, an interception and a pass breakup (which was nearly a second pickoff) against Kansas and a career-best four tackles against Oklahoma. He had one tackle for one yard lost in the season opener against Michigan State. In the 1996 Orange Bowl against Virginia Tech, List saw game action but did not record any tackles.

1995 (Redshirt)

A walk-on, List redshirted his first year as a Husker.

Valentine High School

List played quarterback, defensive back and safety for Valentine High School and aided his teams to the state playoffs in 1993 and 1994. He amassed more than 3,500 all-purpose yards in his career and earned all-state honors in football. An excellent track athlete, List won Class B gold medals in the 200-yard dash (1995) and 400-yard relay (1994, 1995) and the silver in the 100-yard dash (1995). He was named to the honor roll three years.

Personal

The son of the late Jerry and Susie List, Gregg was born on Feb. 8, 1997. Gregg's father played for the Huskers from 1970 to 1972, wining national championships in 1970 and 1971. Gregg majored in economics and earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 1999. He served as a Husker Student-Athlete Advisory Board representative two years, was a Husker Ambassador in 1997 and a volunteer in the Husker Outreach Program.
