Seward reached the state quarterfinals in Kadavy's junior season and made the state semifinals during his sophomore year. Kadavy was also a standout on the track, and helped Seward to the 2002 Class B state title. Kadavy was a member of three state championship relay teams (4x100, 4x400, 4x800). He was also a three-year starter in basketball.
