Lincoln- The Nebraska football team continued preparations for their Saturday match-up with Kansas State with a two-and-a-half hour workout inside Memorial Stadium Wednesday afternoon.

After practice, Head Coach Bill Callahan discussed injuries that have kept two key players out of practice.

“Today was a good practice,” Callahan said. “Unfortunately, Cory Ross and Josh Bullocks were held out of practice today. Cory has been suffering from turf toe this week and Josh injured his shoulder yesterday in practice. Hopefully we can get these two guys back and have them ready to go Saturday in Manhattan.”

Callahan also took the opportunity to reiterate the strength of the Kansas State defensive line.

Kansas State’s front four has been great all year,” Callahan said. “They are good at getting pressure on the ball and the inside two have been great at stopping the run.”

NU continues preparations on Thursday with an afternoon practice before leaving for Manhattan Friday.
