The Nebraska football team is finally set for its first road contest of the season. Nebraska completed a two-hour practice in Memorial Stadium on Thursday in preparation for Saturday's showdown with No. 13 Virginia Tech.
Head Coach Bo Pelini said the team finished the week strong .
"I thought it was a good practice, good attention to detail," Pelini said. "Some kinks to work out, but overall pretty good."
Pelini acknowledged that the type of atmosphere the Huskers will encounter in Blacksburg is a special one in college football.
"These are fun ones to play in," Pelini said.
The Huskers will finish up their work in Lincoln Friday morning, then head to Blacksburg and begin team meetings. Pelini said the game against the Hokies will be a good test of where the Huskers are as a team.
"It's a challenge. The players are looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to it," Pelini said. "Let's let it roll."
