The Nebraska football team wrapped up its practice week in preparation for Friday's regular-season finale with a two-hour workout inside the Hawks Championship Center on Wednesday. The Huskers started outdoors but later moved inside because of the strong wind.
"It was a short week. There was a lot to do, a lot to clean up. It was a good day though," Head Coach Bo Pelini said. "I feel good about what we've accomplished up to this point, but it just heightens the mental preparation that has to be done between now and game time, to make sure we get up to speed. It's just part of the deal."
Pelini said the holiday and the fact that NU has already clinched the Big 12 North have not affected his team's focus this week.
"It hasn't been an issue. I haven't heard one mention of the Big 12 Championship game or the holiday or anything else," Pelini said. "Our kids have had good focus and I think they're excited to play."
Nebraska will go through a walk-thru practice Thursday morning in Lincoln, and then have a Thanksgiving dinner with families before heading to Boulder in the afternoon. Friday's kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m., with ABC providing national television coverage.
