- The Nebraska
volleyball team announced on Tuesday that it will conclude it's 2011 spring
schedule with a 7 p.m. match against the Tianjin Bridgestone Volleyball Club on
Saturday, April 23 at the NU Coliseum. It will be the Huskers third match of
the spring, as they are also playing Wichita State at the Heartland Events
Center in Grand Island, Neb., on Saturday, April 9 and the Huskers will host
Iowa State at the NU Coliseum on Saturday, April 16.
Bridgestone is arguably the top professional team in China as they recently won
their fifth straight and eighth overall Chinese League Championship. Tianjin
plays a fast tempo game and has several Olympians on its squad.
trip to the U.S., Tianjin will play Illinois, Kansas State, Creighton,
Nebraska, Colorado State, NORCO Club, Laguna Beach Club and UC Irvine. Even
though the Huskers and Tianjin Bridgestone are from different sides of the
globe, the teams should see some familiar faces as Nebraska played several
matches against Tianjin during its trip to China last summer.

at Huskers.com, by calling the NU Ticket Office at 800-8BIGRED or by visiting
the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office in person weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5
p.m. Reserved tickets are $10 with GA tickets set at $8. All currently
enrolled UNL students are eligible to receive one free ticket to each match,
but must secure a ticket in advance either online at Huskers.com, by phone at
472-3111 or in person at the Athletic Ticket Office located just west of
Memorial Stadium, while supplies last.
to get tickets for the Huskers' match in Grand Island will need to visit
Ticketmaster or the Heartland Events Center Box Office. All tickets will be
reserved at $12 and $10. Courtside seats will be available for $25 and a
business package that consists of 4 courtside and 6 reserved for $400. There
will be a handling charge on all tickets purchased from Ticketmaster and no
tickets will be sold thru the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office.
