2013 Sand Season Sheridan Zarda posted a 6-7 record with partners Alicia Ostrander, Meghan Haggerty and Morgan Broekhuis during Nebraska's inaugural sand season.
2012: Freshman Played in 19 matches in 2012 • Totaled 27 digs on the year • Recorded a season-high eight digs against Duquesne • Notched three aces on the year, including two against Indiana on Oct. 6.
High School Zarda joined the Huskers as a libero and defensive specialist from St. James Academy in Lenexa, Kan. • Selected as a 2011 Under Armour First-Team All-American • Was a Senior Aces Top 150 pick by Prepvolleyball.com • Chosen as one of the top five recruits out of the state of Kansas by Prepvolleyball.com • Honored as a special mention All-American by Volleyball Magazine in 2011 • Helped the St. James Academy Thunder to a 45-1 team record and the Kansas Class 4A state title in 2011 • Posted 517 digs, 21 aces and 35 assists as a senior • Was a 2010 and 2011 first-team all-state selection • Was a second-team selection on the Kansas City Star’s All-Metro volleyball team • Guided St. James Academy to four Class 4A State Championships, a national title and a record of 174-7 during her four-year career • Came onto the prep scene guiding the Thunder to a 45-1 record and a No. 4 national ranking her freshman year • Led St. James Academy to another state championship and compiled a 40-4 record as a sophomore • Powered St. James to a 44-1 record, a state title and a Prep Volleyball national title in 2010 • Played for the MAVS Volleyball Club.
