Jeremy Foote has served as an assistant communications director at Nebraska since July of 2010, after previously serving for more than two years as an intern and volunteer.
Foote is the primary communications contact for Nebraska’s baseball team, while also assisting with the Husker football team. He helps oversee the communications student staff.
Foote’s 2011 volleyball media guide was named “Best in the Nation” by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and his 2011 women’s soccer media guide was tabbed “Second in the Nation”. He also assisted on the Huskers’ 2008 men’s track and field guide that was named “Best in the Nation”.
In addition to his communications duties, Foote serves as the Internet Content Coordinator for Huskers.com.
Prior to his current role, Foote worked with the Huskers’ volleyball team in 2010, with NU’s track and field team for four seasons from 2008 to 2011 and served as the Nebraska women’s soccer contact during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
Along with his duties in the communications office, Foote has been the media host for the 2014 Big Ten Baseball Tournament, two Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships, the 2010 NCAA Volleyball First and Second Rounds and the 2008 NCAA Midwest Regional Track and Field Championships.
Foote is a graduate of Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., where he earned degrees in both sport management and computer science. He is currently working on his master’s degree in higher education administration at UNL.
Jeremy and his wife, Tiffany, have a four-year old son, Easton.
