Q&A with Brandi Jeffery
Freshman Brandi Jeffery heads into her first season with the Huskers in 2011-12 with a chance to make an instant impact. The 5-7 guard from Vacherie, La., was a 2011 Parade High School All-American and earned the Gatorade Louisiana High School Player of the Year Award. She begins her first year at Nebraska as one of four freshmen who could make sizable contributions right away for the Huskers.
Brandi took a few minutes out of her schedule to answer a few questions to provide a little bit more insight about her life off the court.

What you would do with a time machine: If I had a time machine I would bring back my great grandmother Marline Sutherland. She was a big influence in my life. I miss her so much.

Why you chose Nebraska: I chose Nebraska because it felt like home. I liked the things we did and talked about on my visit and the fact that it wasn't just about basketball. It was academics, then basketball.
Best thing about Nebraska: The best things about Nebraska is the fans...GO BIG RED!!
What you want to do after college: play WNBA
