Q&A with Hailie Sample

Hailie Sample has displayed impressive defensive skills very early in her Husker career. The 6-1 freshman forward from Flower Mound, Texas, has earned immediate starting time because of her ability to guard both larger and smaller players. Sample has also shown ability to score and rebound, while ranking as one of Nebraska's top passers.

Hailie took a few minutes out of her busy schedule to answer a few questions to provide a little bit more insight about her life off the court.

Favorite TV show as a kid: Winnie the Pooh
Favorite pro team: Dallas Mavericks
Favorite sports movie: Remember the Titans
Favorite meal: Chicken, beans and cornbread

Favorite class you've taken: Anatomy and physiology 
What you would do with a time machine: I'd go in the future and see who my future husband is. 
Celebrity crush: Channing Tatum
When you're not competing, you like to: Goof off and have fun with my team. 
Superpower you wish you had: The ability to read minds
Pregame rituals: Saying the Lord's Prayer before every warm up and I listen to a few certain songs before every game. 
Best friend on the team: Emily Cady
Best athlete you've competed against: Jada Butts 
Why you chose Nebraska: The atmosphere was and is an incredible and it's a great place to be a part of.

What you want to do after college: Hopefully get a job and start a family
