Talley Among August Graduates

Lincoln, Neb. – Former Husker basketball standout Dylan Talley is among the 12 Husker student-athletes who received their degrees Saturday morning in summer commencement exercises at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Talley, who is from Camden, N.J., graduated with a degree in sociology after spending two seasons at Nebraska. On the court, he earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten honors in 2012-13, averaging 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.5 points per game. The 6-foot-5 guard led the Huskers in scoring and assists as a senior, finishing 10th in the conference in scoring.

Talley was one of the Huskers’ 2012-13 co-captains and scored 982 points in three years at the Division I level, counting his freshman season at Binghamton University, when he was the American East Conference Rookie of the Year.  Last month, he signed a contract with SC Rasta Vechta, a team in the Pro A league in Germany which begins its season in October.

With Talley’s graduation, all three 2012-13 Husker seniors have received their degrees this year, as Andre Almeida and Brandon Ubel received their degrees in May.
