Jaylyn Odermann was one of two players from Millard North High School to sign with the Huskers in 2012, joining teammate Alyssa Flannery.

One of the top defenders in the state, Odermann was both a Super-State pick by the Lincoln Journal Star and a first-team All-Nebraska selection by the Omaha World-Herald following both her junior and senior seasons.

She helped the Mustangs post 16 shutouts during her junior season and another 15 during her senior season in 2012.

Odermann and the Mustangs entered the 2012 state tournament looking for their second straight Class A title as the No. 2 seed, but they fell to Lincoln Southeast in the semifinals following a 2-0 opening-round win over Lincoln Southwest. On the year, Odermann scored four goals and added five assists.

As a junior in 2011, Odermann helped Millard North win its sixth state title with a 2-1 overtime win over Lincoln Southeast. The Mustangs finished second in 2009 and reached the semifinals in 2010.

Odermann chose Nebraska over Creighton and Kansas.
