Nebraska senior goalkeeper Emma Stevens was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday after she helped the Huskers finish the regular-season conference road schedule 5-0 with a pair of road victories at Wisconsin and Minnesota over the weekend. The No. 22 Huskers (12-3-1, 7-1-0 Big Ten) remain at the top of the Big Ten Conference standings with three league home matches remaining.

On Sunday, Stevens surpassed former Husker Erin Miller (239) to become the all-time leader in saves at Nebraska. The graduate student made six stops in a 1-0 win at Minnesota and sits alone in first place with 245 career saves after her 30th career victory and eighth-career shutout.
